Quality Above All

“Finding The Right Fit Even With Your Suppliers”

It’s taken us many years to find a consortium of people and companies to turn to that we knew would help us and have quality products.

Being two women in a male dominated industry, you can only imagine how hard this was when we first started out, and even to this day, we are very selective on who we use and where we source our products from.

Everyone we have listed below we have used their products or service’s over the 15+ years, we have been working in the landscaping industry, and now we would like to share these amazing people and businesses with you!

Please note these are personal recommendations. We are not affiliated with any of these companies and are simply passing on genuine business names for you to go to for your next project.

Garden Supplies

Located in the South Eastern Suburbs of Cranbourne South, this business has always gone above and beyond for us to help with any project big or small including anything we needed for our own home.

The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and care about their customers experience. We use these guys with nearly every project we do and highly recommend them for their service and quality of products.

Fertilisers & Soil Enhancements

The products we like to use can either be bought or created at home, and yes it all comes back to “Composting.” Each of these products are the bi-products of decomposing organic matter, hence there are no nasties in it that will hurt your plants & vegetables.

Firstly if you are looking for a product off the shelf we recommend anything that is organic in nature with no added chemicals. This can be a charcoal (biochar) or seaweed based fertiliser or a bi-product compost fertiliser like worm castings or better yet black soldier fly castings.

This last one comes from a fantastic company called Bardee and their product Superfly. Not only is this fertiliser a miracle worker they also make a huge impact of reducing the amount of food waste that was destine for landfill into their product, through their specifically designed composting system. If you’d like to learn more about these guys check out the link below to head to their website.

Lastly home composting is a great option and what we use in our own garden. If you‘d like to know more about how to create your own plant based compost at home please reach out by clicking the ‘Home Composting’ button below and send us your details.

Plants

So this is my most favourite part of any garden, whether it’s maintaining or landscaping a garden. I have found that having the right selection of plants can make any garden, no matter the constructional outlay, thrive and look like the natural landscape you’ve always wanted.

If you’ve had a good look at our website you will see by now we are big advocates for Australian Native and Indigenous plant species, whilst making space for those exotics that either feed us or increase biodiversity for all those insects and animals that visit our garden.

Our two favourite places to pick up those Australian Native and Indigenous plants are from two small independent nurseries. One in Mt Evelyn and the other in Somerville. Both of these are great places to get amazing service and high quality products.

Equipment

Being a small landscaping business we don’t have the big machinery that most have, so we hire what we need when we need it.

After using a number of companies in the early years, we now use a small independently family owned business in Dandenong South. Like all of the suppliers we use, these guys are no different. The attention to detail from the people at, Advantage Rentals, in taking care of their machines and the service is above anyone else we have used.

Garden Art

Art in any sense can be a very personal thing and art within a garden space is no different. This artist would have to be one of my favourite garden art sculptures. All of Tims pieces have a story attached, from how he comes to the idea to where he sources his materials.

Tim is a great advocate for recycling materials, saving them from going to landfill. Even going as far as all the way to India for the doors he uses in his secret room doors.

The glass balls used in this flower pieces are one example of up-cycling materials. From the small fishing towns of Japan these glass balls were once used in a thriving local industry, but since the big fishing moguls have taken over, these individual glass pieces have found a new home in Tims art.

Located in the majestic Bend of Islands, near Wonga Park, even the drive out to visit Tims sculptures at his family owned and run business Tread Sculptures is a gorgeous in its own rights! I highly recommend making a visit and taking a walk around his own sculpture trail hike.
